The Upright Citizens Brigade Improv Program is a comprehensive training that immerses students in the world of longform improvisational comedy. From the foundational Improv 101 to our Advanced Improv Program, the UCB Training Center focuses on developing essential skills such as scene work, agreement, and how to heighten what's funny in a scene. If passed by the instructor, students will be eligible to take Advanced study courses at UCB. This course meets for 8 sessions, 3 hours each. It has 2 class shows, one midway through the course and the second at the end of the course. Both shows are at the UCB stage. Since opening the doors of its current location in April of 2003, the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre has offered longform improvisational and sketch comedy classes and a packed, 7-night schedule of cheap and edgy performances to a varied audience.
